June 5 is a special day for The Billy Graham Library – it was five years ago that we opened our doors for the first time.
The year was 1957, the day was June 3. The New York City Crusade Committee met and voted to officially extend the monumental Crusade to July 20, where a closing ceremony would be held at Yankee Stadium.

Tuesday, June 5, marks the fifth anniversary of the official public opening of the Library and its ministry in Charlotte, NC.
To mark the occasion on Tuesday, starting at 10 a.m., visitors to the Library can help us celebrate with a complimentary piece of cake and a special commemorative gift, while supplies last.
On Memorial Day, as we honor those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom, we wanted to share these excerpts from Billy Graham’s “I Saw Your Sons at War,” his diary of his visit to Korea in 1953 during the height of the Korean War.
With school soon ending and Memorial Day coming up on Monday, we are nearing the official start of summer! As you make your plans for places to go and things to do, here are five reasons to include the Library in your schedule.
In this new feature on the blog, we’ll take a city where multiple Billy Graham Crusades were held, and we’ll tell you a little more about those events. We may as well start with Billy Graham’s hometown and the home of The Billy Graham Library – Charlotte, N.C.
We are searching through the archives and files to bring you “In His Own Words: 5 Things Billy Graham said about…” Each month, we’ll explore a different topic. Today, we are looking at 5 things Billy Graham has said about his own legacy.
Our current exhibit, “The Power of Christ in the Home,” is more than an opportunity to see some rarely seen items. It’s also an opportunity to experience ministry in action.
