The best simple gift I’ve ever received is the first Christmas spent as a mother. My husband had secretly made a card with my baby and walked into our room with her holding the card. Best experience ever especially for the first time!
The best simple gift I ‘ve ever received were Oranges . Every year my father came home with a bag with oranges for Christmas Eve . I never had Christmas presents ,just the bag with oranges and was the best gift from my dad ! Nowadays , my kids receive way to many gifts .

The best simple gift I have received was a glass hand ring holder that my first grade son bought at the school Christmas fair. It has always been special to me, and when I look at it I remember him as a little boy and how pleased he was when he gave it to me.
One of our family traditions when my children were growing up was to draw names as a family and make a gift to exchange Christmas night. The best “simple” gifts I’ve ever received would be the ones hand made by each of my children through the years.
One year when my daughter was about 6 or 7 she had the idea to give everyone in the family framed photographs but she was not sure how to print the actual photos. So she bought frames and drew a picture of the thing she wanted to photo of. She then gave the framed drawings as her present. She knew I loved the dog so for me she drew a picture of the dog. I loved that gift.
The best simple gift I received is the many drawings/paintings my sister would make for me growing up. She enjoys being creative, like myself. Whether it’s a hand drawn piece or a page from a coloring book, she always gives with her heart.

The best simple gift that I have ever been given was a baby doll when I was just a child, Her name was Candy. I actually wanted a Suzy Smart. My parents were always late shoppers and the Suzy Smart dolls were all sold out. I got Suzy the following year. I still have Candy! I would grab the doll every time there was a lightning storm…she gave me comfort. I slept with her. I just carried that doll every where. She was my FAVORITE doll ever!!!
The Christmas I was 14 years old, my brother, Paul Allen, gave me a kodak instamatic camera he won for signing up the most new subscribers for his paper route. He won many prizes that year and gave them all away as Christmas gifts for our family. I will never forget it.
Some may think it is simple but the year our three children had photos made was still one of my favorite memories and gift! We had no idea and we got photos, a photo magnet and calendar! I cherish those photos to this day!
