I love the Christmas season of food. It’s a tradition in our family to have decorated sugar cookies, sausage balls, and peanut butter balls to snack throughout the season. They are all my favorites!

Every year at Christmas, my Mom and I make Chex-Mix. But at our house, it is called dog food. My Dad was a pastor and someone gave one of the elderly, feisty ladies in the church a jar of Chex-Mix one Christmas. As only someone older can say and get by with, she asked, “Who in the world gave me a jar of dog-food.” From that day forward, Chex-Mix is known as dog food in our house. In fact, tomorrow – Tuesday – we will be making our first batch of dog food!!

  3. Peanut Butter Blossoms are my favorite Christmas treats. I know they are easy enough to make throughout the year, but I have never even attempted it. In my mind, they are only allowed to be made in December.

One of my favorite Christmas foods is frosted sugar cookies with holiday sprinkles on them.
Having kids to help do the decorating and now grandkids, make this a fun tradition!

There are too many to name! The dressing, turkey, ham and mac & cheese will surely let you know that it is the season to be thankful and sharing! This is all comfort food and everyone should be made comfortable at this time of the year with, love, peace & thankfulness!

  6. My favorite foods to eat & cook during the Christmas season are casseroles of any kind. What’s a big family meal without the variety of casseroles to choose from? My mom makes my favorite casseroles: sweet potato casserole, broccoli casserole & the BEST breakfast casserole.

Merry CHRISTmas, I am truly grateful for what the Billy Graham Library does for this country. My favorite food at Christmastime is ham and mashed potatoes but my family has made a tradition of eating biscuits and gravy for breakfast every Christmas.
