This Date in History – the 75th Anniversary of Television

Billy Graham has always been committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every effective means. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), formed in 1950, began using television as early as 1951., while the medium was still in its infancy.

 

New Exhibit: Rooted in Prayer – Biblical Truths for Everyday Living

A new exhibit has opened at the Billy Graham Library called, “Rooted in Prayer – Biblical Truths for Everyday Living.” It shares a glimpse into the heart of Billy Graham and over 70 years of ministry grounded in prayer. The exhibit runs from May through the end of June. Admission to this exhibit and to the Library is free.

 

Crusade City Spotlight: New York, NY

Billy Graham, prior to his monumental Crusade in New York City in 1957, said that “no other city in America – perhaps in the world – presented as great a challenge to evangelism.” But, at the same time, the team recognized the tremendous opportunity to reaching that city with the Gospel. Take a look with us now as we shine the “Crusade City Spotlight” on the Big Apple.

 

Buffalo: Yesterday and Today

The year was 1988. The heat was described in Decision magazine as “stifling” and “oppressive.” But, the warm temperatures and violent thunderstorms in the area couldn’t keep thousands from attending the Greater Buffalo-Niagara Billy Graham Crusade that August.
