One of the books in Mr. Graham’s collection is C. S. Lewis’s “The Weight of Glory,” a compilation of essays delivered by Lewis during World War II including the title essay which was preached as a sermon in the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Oxford in June 8, 1941.

Billy Graham has always been committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every effective means. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), formed in 1950, began using television as early as 1951., while the medium was still in its infancy.
While visiting the U.S. during her time as Prime Minister of Israel, Golda Meir presented a Hebrew Bible to Billy Graham with the inscription, “To a great teacher in all the important matters to humanity and a dear friend of Israel.”

Billy Graham served as the first full-time evangelist with Youth for Christ. Several memorabilia items from his days with Youth for Christ were recently added to the Journey of Faith at the Billy Graham Library.
