Billy Graham’s next to last Crusade was held in Los Angeles in 2004. This year marks the 15th anniversary of that crusade. While there, Billy was presented with “The Prince of Peace Prize,” which is this month’s archive feature.
The award is a gold trophy of hands holding a world globe on a black base. Billy Graham was presented the award at the Executive Leadership Team and Staff Reception in Los Angeles, California during the 2004 Los Angeles Crusade by Herbert Boeckmann II and Harold Bredesen of The Prince of Peace Foundation.
Billy Graham was always a strong advocate for peace and the recognition of the true Source of peace. He once said, “Only Christ can meet the deepest needs of our world and our hearts. Christ alone can bring lasting peace—peace with God, peace among men and nations, and peace within our hearts. He transcends the political and social boundaries of our world.”
