Children enjoy activities during the Hispanic Heritage Celebration at the Billy Graham Library in 2021.

On Saturday, Sept. 23, the Billy Graham Library will host its second Hispanic Heritage Celebration Day.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and celebrate the richness and influence of Hispanic culture.

Guests can worship along with Grammy-nominated Christian artist Gilberto Daza, take a Spanish guided tour of the newly updated Journey of Faith exhibits, or join their children for crafts.

Special food, including arroz con pollo and churros, will be available for purchase at The Graham Brothers Dairy Bar.

“We just want to invite Hispanic families to join us to enjoy the whole Library, which is a very clear reflection of the heart of Billy and Ruth Graham … in a day that will honor their culture,” said Dr. David Bruce, executive vice president of the Billy Graham Library. “Mr. Graham’s heart was deep in appreciation and love for peoples of all backgrounds. It all grew out of his desire to reach all peoples with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

“Jesus is populating His church with people from every tribe, tongue, and nation,” said Bruce. “It gives us joy to celebrate our oneness in Jesus here, because we’re going to be doing that in eternity.”

Designed to reflect Billy Graham’s journey from a humble farm boy to an international ambassador for the Gospel, the Billy Graham Library is situated just miles from where “America’s Pastor” grew up in Charlotte, N.C.
