Throughout 2014 we have been reading through the historical Bible plan. This month we finish out the book of Proverbs and go through the books of Job, Song of Solomon, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther and start in the book of Daniel.

Billy Graham once said this about his own study of the Bible, “My wife and I read the Psalms every day, five Psalms a day and one chapter of Proverbs. Psalms teaches you how to get along with God and Proverbs teaches you how to get along with man.”

Why do we read the Bible and memorize Scripture? Psalms 119:2, 10-11says this:

“Blessed are those who keep His testimonies,
Who seek Him with the whole heart!

With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!

Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.”
