A Mother’s Influence

Billy Graham’s Daily Devotion today focuses on the influence of a Christian mother.

Only God Himself fully appreciates the influence of a Christian mother in the molding of character in her children. Most of the noble characters and fine leaders of history have had good, God-fearing mothers. The influence of a mother upon the lives of her children cannot be measured. They know and absorb her example and attitudes when it comes to questions of honesty, temperance, kindness, and industry.

Billy Graham once said this: “Of all the people I have ever known, my mother had the greatest influence on me.” Watch this video of Billy Graham’s mother, Morrow Graham, discussing family prayer and devotions.

Catch a glimpse of the relationship Billy had with his mother – through personal notes, rare photos, and other family memorabilia – at “The Power of Christ in the Home” exhibit at The Billy Graham Library. It’s running now through the end of June. Mothers and fathers of all ages will have the opportunity to discover real-world examples of Christ-centered leadership that can be put to practice in today’s family.
