I enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. I like to make my grandma’s homemade hot chocolate. It’s so good. Better than the boxed stuff from the store.

My favorite meal at Christmas is sweet potatoe casserole and Russian Tea from my Grandmas recipe. Merry Christmas

Every Christmas eve for supper my Father in law likes to have a country ham with eggs and grits and biscuits. My wife cooks the biscuits the way my Mom taught her after we were married and those are the best biscuits! There will not be a single biscuit left for Santa so it’s a good thing he likes cookies.

Christmas Eve, we began having a pot of soup instead of a large meal. It’s a simple white bean soup with diced tomatoes, spinach and pesto in a broth base. It’s warm, filling, healthy, and goes great with a slice of cornbread to warm us up before we head to church for our candlelight service. It’s also good to expand, as we have an open door open table policy on Christmas Eve night, the more the merrier!

We love to bake Christmas sugar cookies!! 🙂 this has been a tradition my whole life.

  7. Donna says:

This is easy, my mom always made the most amazing stuffing/dressing which was complemented by my dad’s turkey. He’d put it in the ground (pit) to cook slowly along with his secret sauce. They’d cook three or four so there would be plenty to make extra plates and we’d deliver them to shut-ins in our small town. It was great!

I came across this delicious raspberry and white chocolate macadamia nut cookie years ago and I bake them at Chritmastime. They are a favorite with our family and friends. ❤️

My favorite food to cook is sugar cookies. When my girls where growing up we did this together. Decorating them with peppermint frosting. We always made lots of goodies and boxed them up to give as gifts to family and friends. It was a tradition.
