    As a kid, Christmas was somewhat on the religious scale, and we relished in the wonder of the scene on lit trees, ornaments, Santa Claus, etc. Over the past 3 or so years I have been able to remove myself from the retail frenzy and such, allowing for a more “Christian” approach to Christmas. This can have many trappings as my earlier years, but it really gets down to a Christian mentality and where I think of the Christmas story. I have a new perspective on this, which is very rewarding.

It is such a joy to teach them the true meaning of Christmas. I was saved 2 1/2 years ago after a conversation with my mother which led me to a 1957 Billy Graham Youtube Video, “How to Live the Christian Life-Full.” It took me a while to fully grasp Romans 5:8, While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. This Christmas I am reminded of all Christ has done for me, none of which I deserved but am so incredible grateful.

  44. Cynthia Frazier says:

    Christmas to me means family and giving. Christmas was always about being at home and helping the local community growing up baking goodies, making cards for the local retirement home, helping in the Christmas play at church. Christmas important to me and my family because it represents the birth of Jesus Christ, who My Heavenly Father sent to save me and others by being crucified on the cross for out sins. This is the day we celebrate His birth on earth, and praise and give glory to our Father that is in Heaven. I love Him because he first loved me. I also love Christmas because I get to share and give gifts and love to every one and all the pretty lights. I love Christmas because I love seeing everyone sing and be cheerful! This is my most favorite time of the year. We celebrate the birth of Jesus. We hear the story of Mary being visited by the angel and being told her wonderful news. It is time to look towards the future and pray for the upcoming year and how and what we can do to rid this world of all the evil and hate that has become a big part of our culture. 70. Rose Bruton says:

    Since I got saved in 1995 I love to tell everyone about the Gospel of Christ.
    I especially love Christmas time-
    people seem more open to engage in conversation – since Christmas is about Jesus. Concerning the people from The Salvation Army who ring the bells & collect money- I just assumed they were all Saved.
    Until one day I went Christmas Shopping;
    A thought came to me;
    ‘I wonder what he would say if I asked him; “Could you tell me how a person can come to know JESUS?”
    So I walked up and asked him.
    He said;
    “I’m sorry I don’t know.”
    So I asked him questions about his faith, shared my testimony, and was blessed to pray with him right outside of Big Lots where he confessed faith in Christ!
