Volunteer Spotlight – November 2015

November 28, 2015

Categories: Volunteers

At the Library we are blessed to have volunteers serving in many roles, which include welcoming guests at the Graham Family Homeplace or at the entrance to the Library, assisting guests through the galleries or praying with guests in our prayer area.

Each month we recognize one of our volunteers and we want to share our appreciation of them with you.

Meet Teresa Kirschmann who was recognized in our volunteer spotlight for November 2015.

Teresa is most often found in the the Footsteps of a Pilgrim or World Discovers rooms. But she is also gives much time assisting the Library promotions team with special events and special projects.

Asked about her favorite experience at the Library Teresa says, “It’s hard to put into words what to tell others about the Library because it’s an experience not just a place.  You will experience the love of Jesus and feel the Holy Spirit’s presence from the minute you step onto the grounds until you leave.”

Her favorite piece of memorabilia in the Journey of Faith? A letter from Queen Victoria that says she hoped Jesus would return during her life so that she would be able to lay her crown at His feet.

Teresa’s favorite verse is Psalm 91:1-2 which says,

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound
