Each month we recognize one of our volunteers and we want to share our appreciation of them with you.

Meet Ann who was recognized in our volunteer spotlight for December 2014.

Ann-2

Ann and her daughter-in-law became volunteers at the Library together to spend more time together. She says her favorite time serving at the Library is at the annual Bikers with Boxes event.

Another of her favorite experiences at the Library is this story:

“Last Christmas while serving at the Homeplace, a young woman came in wearing a “starbella” scarf. I asked if she had knitted it. She said her mother-in-law made it for her. I told her I hoped she appreciated it, as I had knitted one and to me it was a hard pattern to follow. She took it off and told me she wanted me to have it! I told her I really could not accept it. She said she would be hurt if I did not accept it. So I thanked her and took it. A few minutes later her mother-in-law came into the Homeplace and thanked me for making her daughter-in-law so happy! Another special experience at the Library that brought joy to three people!”

Ann’s favorite Scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
