Categories: Volunteers

At the Library we are blessed to have volunteers serving in many roles, which include welcoming guests at the Graham Family Homeplace or at the entrance to the Library, assisting guests through the galleries or praying with guests in our prayer area.

Each month we recognize one of our volunteers and we want to share our appreciation of them with you.

Meet June Suddreth who was recognized in our volunteer spotlight for August 2015.

You can usually find June serving at the Library in the Prayer Room.

One of June’s favorite pieces of memorabilia in the Library is a letter addressed to Billy Graham, c/o heaven—with a note to make sure it gets there and arrows pointing towards heaven. “The trust that people have that God is always in charge,” says June. “And no matter what the address is, the Lord knows where it need to go and sees its arrival as He sees their heart.”

June also loves that at the Library the volunteers all become a family. “As families do, we genuinely care about what happens to our brothers and sisters in Christ.”

When asked why he became a Library volunteer, June responded, “I love to serve where God places me!” She also is devoted to sharing the Gospel and having the opportunity to assure visitors know the way to heaven.

In her home life, June is the grandmother to seven sweet grandchildren. She attends Good Shepherd United Methodist in Charlotte, N.C. and enjoys painting and the beach. In addition to her volunteer work at the Library, June also gives her time to her church’s Latino Ministry and serves as a life group leader at Twin Lakes Hope House.

June’s favorite verse is Psalm 46:10 which says, “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
