VIDEO: More Than Dusty Books

Did you know that a library is not defined only as a place to borrow items or do research? It can also refer to the collection of similar like items.

The Billy Graham Library uses the term “library” as the latter—as we house more than 12,000 volumes of works that are part of the private collection of Billy and Ruth Bell Graham. While part of this collection is on display at the Billy Graham Library, Ruth’s Attic Bookstore within the Library is a place for guests to purchase their own copies of books, music, memorabilia and gifts.

Today, we’re taking you for a look inside the bookstore where you can also see part of the Billy Graham Library archive collection.

Ruth’s Attic has a large selection of Bibles, devotionals, CDs, DVDs, and books by the Graham family, including Billy Graham, Ruth Bell Graham, Franklin Graham and Anne Graham Lotz. You can also find seasonal items including Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Christmas gifts.

Visit Ruth’s Attic bookstore at the Billy Graham Library, The Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove or online (limited selection) at BillyGrahamBookstore.org.

The Billy Graham Library is an ongoing ministry. The Holy Spirit is in this place. You may buy a book, or other items, you may certainly learn and strengthen your faith here. Maybe this is where you will take home the Bible for the first time. But the very essence is supernatural and what happens with those who give their life to Jesus here.

To see over 12000 volumes of books and know that they have been read and held in the hands of Dr. Graham as he has studied the Bible and teaching of Christianity, as well as those so many he has written is mind boggling. Ruth’s Attic is a pure delight. So many items which are beautiful and serve to strengthen your faith, along with gift items that will serve as memory of your trip to this Holy place. The Library is a living mission as it was created to glorify Jesus Christ. I always come away with something from Ruth’s Attic at a visit. Truly a blessing to have at the Library. The greatest blessing is to witness someone who has come to the Library and left giving his/her life to Jesus.
