Over the next few months we are featuring memorabilia from World Wide Pictures, a film production and distribution company of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association established in 1951.
This month we are featuring promotional material from Two A Penny. This film was released in 1967. It was directed by James F. Collier. The cast included British pop star Cliff Richard, Dora Bryan, Ann Holloway, and Billy Graham (as himself).
The feature was filmed in Britain and tells the story of a young art student and rising pop star (Cliff Richard) who has gotten involved in stealing and drugs. His girlfriend (Ann Holloway) attends a London Billy Graham crusade and accepts Christ. As the movie unfolds, her troubled boyfriend is able to see the change in her life and decides to accept Christ himself. It’s an inspiring story about the power of Christ to change lives.
“Almost all of our early films were intended to be shown in churches. But we could not sit back and wait for the unchurched to come to church so in time we began to do films that could be shown in theatres – full-length features with a spiritual message.”—Billy Graham in Just As I Am
