We are beginning a new feature on blog. We will regularly highlight a special book or item from Ruth’s Attic Bookstore. These items might be new releases, especially popular with our customers, or something that holds a special place in the heart of a member of our team.

Our first selection is a wonderful book by Dr. Warren Wiersbe called 50 People Every Christian Should Know. The book shares the stories of 50 faithful men and women of our past – such as Charles Spurgeon, A. W. Tozer, Dwight Moody, Oswald Chambers, Fanny Crosby, Amy Carmichael, Jonathon Edwards, and more – offering inspiration and encouragement to the reader in his or her Christian walk.

Our spiritual struggles are not new, and the stories of those who have gone before us can help lead the way to our own victories.

Dr. Warren W. Wiersbe is an internationally known Bible teacher and the former pastor of The Moody Church in Chicago. For ten years he was associated with the “Back to the Bible” radio broadcast, first as Bible teacher and then as general director. Dr. Wiersbe has written more than 160 books. He and his wife, Betty, live in Lincoln, Nebraska.
