Jesus Followers

Anne Graham Lotz and Rachel-Ruth Lotz Wright’s new book “Jesus Followers” is now available.

Today is the day — Jesus Followers, the new book by Anne Graham Lotz and her daughter Rachel-Ruth Lotz Wright, is available to the public.

But this weekend, Anne and her daughter Rachel-Ruth, came out for a special book signing and prerelease celebration at The Billy Graham Library.

Many people traveled quite the distance just to see Billy Graham’s second oldest daughter.

Angela White brought her mom, Alice, and friend Faye. They traveled from Knoxville, Tennessee. Angela has a number of Lotz’s books and attended the Just Give Me Jesus revival back in 2000.

Stephen and Christina Keim travelled all the way from Illinois. They felt it was a “God moment” meeting Anne Graham Lotz. They had no idea Graham Lotz was doing a book signing but had always wanted to see The Billy Graham Library. When they arrived and found out Anne Graham Lotz was there for a book signing, Stephen was overwhelmed with tears. Keim was the chief chaplain at the Illinois Department of Corrections for over 20 years. He also had the opportunity to serve at Angola – a maximum security prison in Louisiana. Stephen watched as several prisoners built the caskets for Billy Graham and his wife, Ruth. “There was such a beautiful relationship seeing the Graham family and the ministry of Billy Graham and this prison ministry,” Keim said. Choking up he shared how the prisoners, through the ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, learned of the love of Jesus and didn’t feel forgotten. “You can say thank you, but it’s never enough,” Keim said.

Another touching moment came when Rose Adams, who cared for Billy Graham’s mother, waited in line to see Anne and her daughters. There were lots of hugs as they reunited. “I think and pray for you all the time,” Adams shared.

The new book, Jesus Followers, is about passing on our faith to the next generation.

Jesus Followers is about passing on the “baton” of faith to the next generation.

The book offers practical ideas, Biblical teaching, and inspiring true stories from Anne and her daughter, Rachel-Ruth for running the race of faith. It talks about passing the baton of truth to the next generation. “Passing the baton of truth that leads to faith in Jesus is like a relay race and if we don’t pass it to the next generation, who will?” said Graham Lotz.

Candy Weygand couldn’t wait to share her story with Graham Lotz. She wanted to tell her how much her ministry has meant to her family, especially her daughter Tiffany, and how she has passed the baton. Graham Lotz was so moved, she got up and prayed for Weygand.
