The Journey of Faith tour in the Billy Graham Library recently reopened after undergoing nearly a year of refurbishment. One of the updates includes the new gallery – the “Billy Graham’s Homegoing.” This gallery guides you through Rev. Billy Graham’s homegoing celebration: the motorcade from his mountain home to the Graham Family homeplace at the Library in Charlotte; Lying in Honor at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.; the revival tent where his funeral was held in celebration of his life; to the burial beside his beloved wife, Ruth.
“The new audio/visual display reflects the power, solemnity and Gospel focus of those days,” said David Bruce, executive vice president of the Billy Graham Library and the Billy Graham Archive and Research Center who also served as Billy Graham’s executive assistant for decades. “While utilizing the media account of world reaction to the evangelist’s death, the real and lasting focus of this special display is on a believer’s eternal life in Jesus Christ, the very essence of Mr. Graham’s lifelong preaching ministry.”
We invite you to take a look at the images below of the display and to plan your visit to see the exhibit in person.
