Construction Update

April 13, 2022

Construction continues on The Journey of Faith inside the Billy Graham Library. While we prepare to welcome you back to experience the message of hope for yourself, today we are sharing some behind-the-scenes photos of the work in progress.

If you stepped inside the Billy Graham Library’s cross-shaped doors right now, this is what you’d see. The Library has been closed since late December for a refresh and to build a large multipurpose room for seminary groups, large bus tours and other visitors.
No part of the Library is left untouched, including Ruth’s Attic bookstore—one of the only brick and mortar Christian bookstores in the Charlotte, North Carolina, region.
The Journey of Faith tour—which guides visitors through key points in Billy Graham’s life and ministry—will feature new technology, exhibits and interactive displays when the Library reopens.
Displays continue to show Billy Graham's evangelism throughout the world—in a new, refreshed way.
Mr. Graham’s ministry is known around the globe. He preached in remote African villages and in the heart of New York City, and those to whom he ministered have ranged from heads of state to the simple living bushmen of Australia and the wandering tribes of Africa and the Middle East.
Often called "God's Ambassador," Billy Graham preached the Gospel to more people in live audiences than anyone else in history—nearly 215 million people in more than 185 countries and territories.
An important part of the history of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, the team that supported Mr. Graham and his ministry were an integral part of the mission.
In 2013, Billy Graham was named "North Carolina's Favorite Son." Born in Charlotte in 1918, Graham spent his childhood growing up on his family's dairy farm. He then returned back to the Blue Ridge Mountains after marrying Ruth which is where they lived the remainder of their lives.
Even if you've visited the Billy Graham Library before, make plans to check out the new updates when we reopen.
