Billy Graham was born November 7, 1918 and had some memorable birthday’s throughout his lifetime. He went home to be with Jesus on Feb. 21, 2018, at the age of 99. His legacy of sharing Christ is continuing through his family and the ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

On November 7, what would have been Billy Graham’s 103rd birthday, we remember the courageous life he lived.

Since the day he felt the Lord calling him to ministry, Billy Graham ran after the path God set before him, going into the nations and preaching the Gospel to nearly 215 million people at hundreds of Crusades, missions and evangelistic rallies.

Mr. Graham formed friendships with people from all over the world. He was a caring husband, father, and grandfather. He provided spiritual counseling to more than 10 U.S. presidents. In every city he visited, he spread the love of Jesus Christ to everyone he encountered.

Because of the intentional care and Christ-like love he showed to everyone around him, it is no surprise that Billy Graham was loved and respected in return. We see a glimpse of this in how many people celebrated his birthday over the years. In honor of this special day, we’re taking a look back at some of the special birthday cakes made for Mr. Graham.

Billy Graham’s first Crusade, the Greater Los Angeles Campaign in 1949, was supposed to last only three weeks but was extended five times. It ultimately ran into Billy Graham’s 31st birthday. Ruth Graham wanted to join her husband and made plans to visit, but arrived on Oct. 7 instead of Nov. 7. “I’ve never felt so foolish in my life, and got ribbed good and properly,” she was quoted as saying in Billy Graham’s autobiography “Just As I Am.” This photo, taken by the Los Angeles Examiner, features Cliff and Billie Barrows alongside Billy and Ruth Graham.

Billy and Ruth Graham cut the cake for his 60th birthday party. The event was held days ahead of his actual Nov. 7 birthday because he was getting ready to travel to a Crusade in Singapore.
