Summer is the perfect time to visit the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina. With something for everyone, we hope you will plan your next trip and take a step back into history.
Five reasons to visit the Billy Graham Library this summer
1. Special events
With upcoming events for guests of all ages, each member of your family can take part in all the Library has to offer.
Summer events to put on your calendar include:
Ruth’s Attic Summer Reading Program
June 25-July XX: America’s 250th Birthday Exhibit
June 26: Ladies Tea
July 2: Book Signing with Tim Lee for his book “Born on the Fifth of July: Recreated in Vietnam”
July 17: Evangelism Intensive: Sharing the Gospel in Cross-Cultural Settings with Frank Turek and Erwin Lutzer
August 15: Military Appreciation Day

2. Tasty treats
Whether you are grabbing a lunch with friends or ice cream to celebrate a milestone, the Graham Brothers Dairy Bar has a menu full of options to enjoy. One of the most popular menu items is the chicken salad—made from Billy Graham’s mother’s recipe. We also carry a full selection of specialty coffee items and monthly milkshake specials.
3. Inspiring message
Billy Graham preached to more people in live audiences than anyone in history. The timeless message of God’s love can be heard through The Journey of Faith tour. Come and be inspired as you step back in history and discover how a single person can be used by God to reach many with the hope found through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
4. Peaceful grounds
Within the 20-acres of beautifully landscaped space you can find the Memorial Prayer Gardens. Sit on a bench and listen to birds chirping as the soft sounds of Gospel music and hymns fill the air. Take in the native trees and flowers blowing in the breeze. And spend time in prayerful reflection on your own or with a volunteer who would be delighted to pray with and for you.
5. Check-off your shopping list
In Ruth’s Attic bookstore, you can find everything from children’s toys to jewelry, and Bibles to home goods. Celebrate the graduate in your life, purchase an encouraging book for your pastor, or pick up a Bible or devotional to grow in your faith.
The Billy Graham Library is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. We hope to see you this summer. Learn more about the Library or book your free visit today!
