Joe Gibbs, Dr. Kent Brantly to headline upcoming events

Three-time Super Bowl champion coach and three-time NASCAR championship owner, Joe Gibbs, will share an inspiring message and sign copies of his New York Times best-selling book Game Plan for Life at the Billy Graham Library on Tuesday, June 23 at 12 p.m. Other events this summer are designed to honor fathers, members of the military and local law enforcement.

In addition, the Library hosts multiple events throughout the year which include popular events such as book signings with popular authors and an annual Doughnuts with Dad event held each June.

00895-Doughnuts-wDad-300x250_01June 20, 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Doughnuts with Dad – Spend special time with your child—or father—and enjoy complimentary doughnuts and beverages* beginning at 9:30 a.m. All fathers will receive a special gift*. Families are also invited to take the free Journey of Faith tour. No registration is required for this event. (*while supplies last)

 

 

 

JoeGibbs4June 23, 12-1 p.m.: Book Signing with Joe Gibbs – NASCAR owner and former NFL coach Joe Gibbs will give a brief message and sign copies of his books, including New York Times best-seller Game Plan for Life. Books will be available for purchase in Ruth’s Attic bookstore, or you may bring your own. Limit of two signed items per person (one must be a book by Gibbs).

 

 

 

01243 Library_Military Month_600x600_B_InstagramJuly 1-31: Military Appreciation Month – During the month of July, the Billy Graham Library will recognize and honor the service of our nation’s veterans and active service members. A special military display will be featured as part of The Journey of Faith tour, to share how God has used Billy Graham to minister to troops throughout the decades. Each veteran and service member will receive a free gift as a small thank you for their service and sacrifice (with valid ID or in uniform).

 

 

July 10, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Military Appreciation Luncheon – Veterans and active service members are invited to enjoy fellowship and a complimentary lunch as a small thank you for serving our country. Advance reservations are required. Admission to this event is free. Due to limited space, this event is only open to veteran and active military service members (with valid ID or in uniform).

 

CalledForLife-BrantlyJuly 25, time–to be determined: Book Signing with Kent and Amber Brantly – Dr. Kent Brantly made world news as he contracted–and survived–the deadly Ebola virus while serving as a medical missionary in Liberia with Samaritan’s Purse. The account of how their family dealt with the trials of Ebola by clinging to their faith is documented in Called for Life by Dr. Kent and Amber Brantly. Books will be available for purchase in Ruth’s Attic bookstore, or you may bring your own.

 

 

01148-Library-Law-Enforcement-Bkfst-&-Web-Graphics_300x250Aug. 14, 8-11 a.m.: Law Enforcement Appreciation Breakfast – Law enforcement officers are invited as we honor their service with a complimentary continental breakfast, special guest speaker and guided Journey of Faith tour. Advance reservations are required. Admission to this event is free.
