Serving Those Who Serve: Billy Graham Library Hosts Military Luncheon

The Billy Graham Library hosted a Military Appreciation Luncheon Friday, July 10, to honor those who served and are serving the country.
Each participant received a copy of Psalm 91: God’s Shield of Protection, a military-edition book full of stories about God protecting troops.
Cindy Kessler sang "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "God Bless America." The crowd gave her a standing ovation.

Pastor Leon Threatt, a former Marine, spoke about the importance of serving God and country—and how we can't let outside influences destroy America's unity.
Serving up hot barbecue.
Many went through The Journey of Faith tour, which documents Billy Graham's ministry around the globe and how God has used him to spread the Gospel. The Library currently includes a special military exhibit.
Air Force chaplain Debra Kidd led the group in prayer.
Library Vice President Tom Phillips told the crowd about each of his family members who have served and shared how important military personnel are to the Library.
