On July 24, we invite you to bring your children to the Billy Graham Library for a special event. You’ll see author Kelly Chapman’s beloved characters from her books, Princess with a Purpose and A Warrior Prince for God, come to life through stage performances, interactive lessons, and more. These royal adventures into God’s Word will teach kids what it means to be sons and daughters of the King of kings. After the program, you can greet her and have her sign a copy of your book. You are welcome to bring your own or purchase one at Ruth’s Attic Bookstore.
Kelly’s ministry, Royal Purpose, is a nondenominational ministry that exists to teach, equip, and encourage others about their true identity in Christ as they seek to live out God’s purpose for their lives.
“Mommy, I want to be a princess when I grow up,” announced Kelly’s, then 4-year-old, daughter Kendall. Out of the mouths of babes and straight into Kelly’s heart is how the Lord began to grow a passion in her for teaching others about their royal identity in Christ.
Her daughter’s desire to be a princess inspired Kelly to write Princess with a Purpose. Using the characters from the book, Kelly began teaching young girls about what it means to be a daughter of the King of Kings through a program she wrote called Princess Prep School. Years later, through the desire of her son Luke wanting to be a warrior for Jesus, Kelly founded Warrior Prince Academy where men teach young boys how to be mighty leaders for God.
According to the 2002 Southern Baptist Council Report on Family Life, 88 percent of children in evangelical homes leave church at the age of eighteen. These are the kind of statistics that motivate Kelly to reach children with God’s truth at an early age through the ministry of Royal Purpose.
Join us for this special time with Kelly Chapman. Space is limited, and this event is close to being full! Advance reservations required for groups of 10 or more. Please call 704.401.3270 for more information or to register your group.
