For the past five years the Billy Graham Library has welcomed thousands to Christmas at the Library in December. This year we are expecting even more individuals and families to celebrate the season of hope while viewing the live Nativity, enjoying carriage rides and being inspired by the life of Billy Graham.

Nearly 400 Christmas Volunteers will do everything from read to the children, help with the carriage rides, serve in the Dairy Bar, greet guests in the Bookstore, and participate in the live Nativity. We need your help! If you have a heart for ministering to people of all ages with the love of Jesus, we are looking for volunteers to help during Christmas at the Library.

Volunteers must be age 16 or older, and available to serve two or more shifts, 5 pm – 9 pm (Monday -Thursday) and 5 pm – 10 pm (Friday-Saturday), December 2-23.  Each shift will include a break with refreshments.

Christmas volunteers receive the following:

• A long-sleeved, Library volunteer shirt
• A discount at the Graham Brothers Dairy Bar
• A discount at Ruth’s Attic Bookstore
• A big dose of Christmas cheer from being a part of this unique opportunity to serve!

Carriage Ride Attendant
Assist with gathering groups, taking tickets, line control, boarding and de-boarding at carriage rides. This position will require serving outside.

Live Nativity Scene Participant
Serve as a live nativity actor. This position will require serving outside.

Live Nativity Attendant
Assist with managing crowd control and keeping the area safe for our guests. This position will require serving outside.

Children’s Story Time
Assist by reading to the children using an expressive voice. Must be cheerful, energetic and enjoy working with children. May need to help with directing children and parents to story time area, crowd control and handing out stickers to children following story time. This position will require serving outside on an enclosed patio.

Bookstore Greeter
Assist with greeting and directing guests in the Bookstore area and handing out gifts to children. Will need a general knowledge of location of bookstore items. No cash register or stocking is involved. This position requires standing for long periods.

Dairy Bar Attendant
Provide good customer service while cleaning, restocking, serving, and assisting with general food service duties or serving hot chocolate and cider to guests. This position will require serving inside or outside and standing for long periods. It does not require use of a cash register. An additional afternoon shift from 1 pm to 5 pm is available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for assisting with general food service duties. This position will require serving inside and standing for long periods. It does not require use of a cash register.

Promotions Team Assistant
Assist Promotions Team with general errands and other duties as assigned. This position will require serving both inside and outside.
