Williams retired in 2015 as the vice president of Corporate Community Affairs at Duke Energy Corporation and president of the Duke Energy Foundation. He currently serves on the boards of Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc., HomeTrust Bancshares, Inc., and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
