Ruth Bell Graham, wife of Billy Graham, was also known to be a talented writer and poet. She authored or coauthored nearly 20 books. Her favorite, and arguably most famous one, being One Wintry Night. Other popular titles of hers are Legacy of a Pack Rat and Footprints of a Pilgrim. Below are a few fun facts behind these three stories, along with a full list of Mrs. Graham’s books.

Ruth Bell Graham Books

One Wintry Night, 1994

With its sweet storyline and breathtaking illustrations by Richard Jesse Watson, there’s no wonder why it’s her most popular book. Within each illustration there is a cat and roly-poly bug hidden in the picture for readers to find, making it an even more fun read. This is a great Christmas story fit for the whole family.

Legacy of a Pack Rat, 1989

Mrs. Graham often referred to herself as a “pack rat,” because she filled her attic with treasures – books, poems, trinkets, and much more – that she collected over her lifetime. This is where Ruth’s Attic bookstore in the Billy Graham Library got its name.

Footprints of a Pilgrim, 2001

You often hear friends and family of Mrs. Graham make reference to her sense of humor. In this book, readers get to experience this through the way she tells her story on each page. This book is a compilation of her prose and poetry.
