Billy Graham’s Lasting Impact

November 6, 2025

Billy Graham was born on Nov. 7, 1918, on a dairy farm in Charlotte, North Carolina. From these humble beginnings, God ultimately used Billy Graham to share the love of Christ with millions around the globe. The arc of Billy Graham’s life is a beautiful demonstration of how God can use anyone who commits his or her life to His service.

Each day, the staff here at the Billy Graham Library is reminded of Rev. Graham’s lasting impact through guest stories that we receive from our visitors. Here are just a few comments and memories they’ve shared with us in recent months:

From Robert:

“I attended a Billy Graham Crusade on Nov. 23, 2004, and accepted the Lord as my Savior. Coming [to the Billy Graham Library] has made my spiritual walk stronger.”

From Marilyn:

“Growing up in the ’60s, my family watched every television Crusade that was shown in our area. [The Billy Graham Library] was a ‘walk down memory lane’ in many ways. Many things have changed, but the message remains the same … praise the Lord!”

From Lara:

“Amazing how the Gospel has impacted thousands of people and through one evangelist.”

From Gracie:

“Knowing how boldly Dr. Graham shared the Gospel makes me want to be more bold in sharing my faith.”

From John:

“He spread the Gospel to all the world, opening doors to closed countries. My wife and I have known and grown in our faith in Christ through Billy Graham and other full Bible-believing teacher/preachers of the infallible and inerrant Word of God.”

From Betsy:

“I will always remember watching Billy Graham at my grandma’s house—and remember how passionate he was in telling others about Jesus.”

From Cyndee:

“So appreciate Billy Graham’s impact on the Lord’s Kingdom and in history. [His message] challenges me to be more bold in my testimony.”

From Catherine:

“Truly, my life has been impacted that God is faithful and that He can do great and amazing things through the life of a man that said ‘yes’ to do the work.”

These messages are just a few of the thousands of impact statements we have received so far this year.

As we celebrate what would have been Billy Graham’s 107th birthday, we are encouraged to live according to the example he set—to live for Christ and to teach others to do the same. God can use a single spark to ignite a flame of revival across our nation and our world, just as He used Billy Graham to reach countless others with the saving message of the Gospel.

Be encouraged today through The Journey of Faith tour at the Billy Graham Library. Admission is always free. Plan your visit now!
