Are you facing something tough?

Don’t give up.

One of the greatest characteristics of serving Jesus is the ability to persevere through every struggle we face.

Jesus uses our struggles as a way to develop and fine tune our relationship with Him. Our struggles can point out the weak and strong parts of our faith. We must persevere and not give up. Our commitment should be for the long term. No matter what, every situation has an opportunity for perseverance that builds trust and increases our faith to keep going and hold firmly.

Billy Graham said, “Patience includes perseverance – the ability to bear up under weariness, strain, and persecution when doing the work of the Lord.”

We may face struggles while serving Him, but when we trust Him through those trials, we can claim victory in Jesus through perseverance.

Here are 5 things the Bible says about PERSEVERANCE:

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”

Romans 5:3-5 (NLT)

“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.  For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”

James 1:2-4 (NLT)

“He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.”

Romans 2:7 (NLT)

“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,  I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”

Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT)
