Remembering Ruth Graham

Categories: Ruth Bell Graham

Ten years ago Ruth Bell Graham went home to be with Jesus. Billy Graham once said, “Many ask me, ‘Who is the greatest Christian I’ve ever known?’ I always answer, ‘Ruth.’ She’s the greatest Christian I’ve ever known.”

Mrs. Graham was born in China on June 10, 1920, where her parents were serving as medical missionaries. Ruth met Billy Graham at Wheaton College in Illinois, and served the Lord by his side for more than 60 years.

Take a look at Ruth’s Room inside the Library, an exhibit which honors Ruth’s life, and the Memorial Prayer Garden where she was laid to rest in 2007.

Ruth Bell Graham was born on June 10, 1920 in China where her parents served as medical missionaries. The Ruth Bell Graham exhibit focuses on the woman who was at Billy Graham’s side for more than 60 years.

The Memorial Prayer Garden at the Billy Graham Library is a tranquil garden, at the end of a cross-shaped brick walkway. Ruth Bell Graham was buried here in 2007. Spend time in prayer or quiet reflection experiencing God’s peace.
