SUMMARY:Ruth's Attic Book Talk
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Billy Graham Library for Book Talks\, a monthly group conversation about one of the many good reads we offer in Ruth’s Attic bookstore. Deepen your relationship with Christ and discover how to share your faith with others as we dive into a specific title. When you RSVP\, you’ll receive a free copy of that month’s chosen book\, though finishing it is not required to attend. Bookstore staff will help lead each discussion\, which will be held in Billy Kim Hall near the dairy bar. Space is limited\, so sign up today. \n\nIn August\, we’ll be reading Tell Me the Stories of Jesus by R. Albert Mohler Jr.: \nRenowned pastor and theologian R. Albert Mohler Jr. unlocks the power of Jesus’ parables for readers today. Jesus perfected the art of telling parables–short stories with a surprising twist and an explosive message that confronted his listeners with surprising (and often uncomfortable) truths about the human heart and the kingdom of heaven. But two thousand years later\, modern readers may not grasp the cultural and historical context that made these stories so compelling for Jesus’ original audience. Mohler brings Jesus’ stories to life\, uncovering the context and allowing readers to hear these stories in all their shocking\, paradigm-shifting power. \n\nNOTE: On August 19\, the book talk will cover the first half of the book. On August 25\, the book talk will cover the second half of the book. Please sign up for both sessions if you wish to participate in this special two-part book talk. \n \nReserve Your Spot.\n
